New York Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham vowed to play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles despite having a hip flexor injury. I think it was important for Manningham to let his teammates know he would play through the pain. We found out earlier Wednesday that starter Steve Smith would miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

"I don’t know how my week is going to be, but it will be alright,” Manningham told reporters. “I will be alright. Trust me. I’ll be good to go Sunday at 1 o’clock."

Coach Tom Coughlin will take it easy on Manningham this week, but I'm sure he'll want to see him run a few routes Friday. Coughlin also said that center Shaun O'Hara (foot) and offensive tackle Shawn Andrews (back) could see some work this week. The Giants' offensive line has played really well in O'Hara's six-game absence, but he'll get his job back once he's ready. And Rich Seubert will move back to left guard.

I think reserve guard Kevin Boothe deserves more credit than he's getting for his play over the past few weeks. The Giants have not shied away from running to the left side no matter who's on the field. General manager Jerry Reese and his scouting department have obviously done a nice job hitting on offensive linemen.

This line has had at least six different combinations this season, but it hasn't slowed the team down. This is going to be an incredible matchup Sunday in the Meadowlands.
