A look at a player who gave his team a significant boost in Week 15.

I toyed with the idea of giving this prestigious award to Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman, but I simply couldn't pull the trigger. Grossman put together an excellent second half, but it's not as though the Redskins were going up against one of the better defenses in the league.

The NFC East High Energy Player of the Week is none other than Michael Vick, who is right in the middle of the MVP conversation after his spectacular performance in the fourth quarter against the New York Giants. Vick had been bottled up for much of three and a half quarters, but a 65-yard touchdown pass to Brent Celek gave the Eagles a shred of hope. And when you have Vick under center, sometimes that's all you need.

The Giants suddenly had no chance of containing Vick as he raced for huge gains. He had 94 of his 130 rushing yards in the fourth quarter. And the Eagles looked across the line of scrimmage and saw the worried looks on the faces of Giants defenders. The Giants left the door open for Vick, and he made them pay dearly.

Eli Manning made a "High Energy" speech Monday, but Vick made his statement on the field.
