At last glance, 79 of you left a question for Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell in the comments section. I just spoke to Campbell via phone and we covered a lot of topics, including his turbulent offseason.

As you might expect, Campbell has turned the Skins' search for a trophy quarterback into a positive. On Thursday afternoon, you can read Campbell's thoughts in my weekly column. But first of all, let's hear from one of our readers. Diggydavis asked the following question: "Who do you see winning the second receiver spot, Devin Thomas or Malcolm Kelly?"

"Well, one of those guys is close [he wouldn't say which one], but there's still a little bit of wait-and-see," Campbell said. "The more those two can get into games, the better off they'll be. We have to get them more exposure in the preseason games and let them get more comfortable. Devin's a big, strong guy who can stretch the field with his speed. Malcolm has a big frame and he can snatch balls. He has some crazy hands, and you see him pull balls out of traffic. Malcolm looked good in the game Thursday. On one of those plays, he caught the ball after running the wrong route. I told him that if you can come up with a catch across the middle on a wrong route, then we can live to fight another day."

OK, I guess the folks in TV would call that a tease. There's a lot more where that came from. You might be interested to know that Campbell's Mississippi neighbor, Brett Favre, was a source of encouragement when the young quarterback was trying to make sense of the offseason. Campbell and his father were fishing on Favre's ranch in late June when the 39-year-old stopped by for a visit. Campbell said Favre told him to "play your game" and to trust what had gotten him to this level. Then Favre told where to find the best bass and perch on his property.
