Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had a brief conversation with ESPNDallas.com's Calvin Watkins during Wednesday's Mavs-Lakers game. Romo's been noticeably silent about Jason Garrett being named head coach, and he again declined comment on that topic. But he did provide an update on a broken left collarbone that caused him to miss the final 10 games of the 2010 season.
"I wish the season would start today," said Romo. "I feel good."
Romo's comments might have been brief because he was so stunned to see the Mavericks in the process of beating the mighty Lakers. It would be interesting to hear Romo's thoughts on Jason Garrett and the Cowboys' new passing-game coordinator, John Garrett. But for now, Romo's keeping those thoughts to himself.
