Now that we've established that rumors of Andy Reid's demise were fabricated via Facebook, let's focus on the future of Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb. He has a home in Granbury, Texas, so he took part in some of the North Texas Super Bowl festivities.

Kolb
In a couple of radio interviews, he reiterated his desire to start next season. That's obviously not going to happen for the Eagles unless Michael Vick is injured. Kolb has one year remaining on his current Eagles contract and he'd be an attractive option for teams such as the Cardinals, Panthers and Vikings.

In fact, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday that Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald's "first recommendation" to his organization was Kolb. Apparently the Arizona Cardinals have a quarterback comment box hanging outside the locker room. And honestly, it's a pretty good recommendation by Fitzgerald. Of course, the Eagles are going to be in search of a first-round pick. And a lockout could also alter their ability to land 2011 draft picks via trade.

I'm going to be getting out of town for a few days, but my plan is to visit with Kolb via phone early next week. Stay tuned.
