Thanks for your patience while I spend a few days in Colorado. I haven't broken anything yet, but there's still time.
My longtime colleague Mike Sando has put together a helpful chart that displays how many potential free agents there are in the NFC East. A lot of this is up in the air because of the labor situation, but this should give you a general idea of what your teams are facing this offseason:
Philadelphia Eagles: 17 potential free agents
New York Giants: 17 potential free agents
Washington Redskins: 15 potential free agents
Dallas Cowboys: 10 potential free agents
Teams that are trying to turn things around quickly often welcome the fact that many of their players are hitting free agency. It's interesting that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seems to be suggesting that his team doesn't need to make a lot of changes following their 6-10 campaign. Is it a good thing that most of the Cowboys are under contract?
I'll let you decide.
