Cowboys' Barber participates in practice

IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys running back Marion Barber (left quad) flashed the thumbs-up sign to reporters Wednesday afternoon as he took the practice field. As a member of the "national" media, the Beast isn't allowed to observe practice, but the reports coming out of Valley Ranch had Barber moving around catching some passes during the first 20 minutes of practice, the only portion local reporters are allowed to watch.

Asked about his status before practice, Barber responded, "I can't complain. It's great news."

We'll let you know what Wade Phillips has to say in an hour or so.
