Giants coach Tom Coughlin was hopeful today that starting linemen Kareem McKenzie (knee sprain) and Rich Seubert (shoulder) would be able to return to the lineup by next Sunday. Seubert's shoulder has been bothering him for a while now, but Coughlin felt pretty confident that the left guard would be able to "strengthen" it this week.
Linebacker Chase Blackburn suffered a high ankle sprain against the Bucs, but he said Monday that he's planning to be back on the field. There was also encouraging news on cornerbacks Aaron Ross and Kevin Dockery. Coughlin said he would start easing them back into practice this week.
All in all, I'd say it was pretty good day in the Meadowlands. No word on how Chris Canty and Clint Sintim are recovering from their injuries. And Coughlin said he thought Justin Tuck (shoulder) would "continue to get better."
