Obama wants Michael Vick to slide

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha is no joke. He gets to hang out with the President of the United States. During a recent conversation, Asomugha and President Barack Obama got to talking football, and the nation's chief executive had some advice for Asomugha to bring back with him to Eagles training camp. Per Sheil Kapadia:
Asked if Obama had any advice for the Eagles, Asomugha, surprisingly, said yes.

"He told me to tell [Michael] Vick to slide," Asomugha said with a laugh.

So if Andy Reid and Marty Mornhinweg can't get through to the Eagles' quarterback, perhaps a call to the White House is the next logical step.

And you guys wonder what I mean when I say Vick is under the most pressure of any player in the whole league this year. The President is on his case!

Anyway, seriously, read Sheil's new blog with Tim McManus if you're into the Eagles. Those two guys know what they're doing.
