Giants wide receiver Steve Smith had two touchdown catches in the first half. The last last Giants player to have two first-half touchdowns was Plaxico Burress on Sept. 9, 2007, against the Cowboys. Burress had three touchdowns in that game. Thanks to ESPN research guru Jeremy Lundblad for that note.
I'll have the inactives from Denver here in a moment. For now, you should know that the Giants have a comfortable 17-3 lead over the Chiefs and the Redskins are trailing the Bucs, 10-3, in the third quarter. How long will Dan Snyder stick with Jim Zorn? Well, we're about to find out.
He hasn't exactly given Zorn a stamp of approval since the loss to the Lions. We'll keep you posted.
