Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams' status for Sunday's game in Kansas City is in question, according to Wade Phillips and ESPNDallas.com's Calvin Watkins. Phillips confirmed that Williams has some issues with his rib cartilage on the left side after taking a vicious shot from Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game.
Williams returned to make a big catch on the Cowboys' final possession, but he was on the sideline nursing his injury as Tony Romo ended the game by firing two passes toward Sam Hurd. I think the Cowboys' coaches were surprised that Williams wasn't able to fight through the pain and be on the field for those last plays from the Denver 2-yard line. I think "disappointment" is the word I would use.
It took the option of throwing the fade away from Romo -- and that's a bad thing.
