When you looked over the rosters of NFC East teams heading into training camp, the wide receiver didn't seem to be a position of strength. The Redskins were (and are) still waiting for Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas to show up, the Eagles were depending on second-year player DeSean Jackson to continue to improve, the Cowboys were hoping Roy Williams could be a true No. 1 and the Giants were hoping several players could help replace Plaxico Burress.

Now four weeks into the season, the Giants and Eagles have to be pretty thrilled with the production they're getting at wide receiver. The Redskins and Cowboys, not so much. Thanks to ESPN Stats & Information, here are some interesting numbers to peruse:

Most Targeted Receivers

1. Randy Moss, NE: 45

2. Steve Smith, NYG: 44

3. Nate Burleson, SEA: 41

4. Reggie Wayne, IND: 40

5. Calvin Johnson, DET: 39

6. T.J. Houshmandzadeh, SEA: 38

6. Andre Johnson, HOU: 38

8. Chad Ochocinco, CIN: 36

9. Santonio Holmes, PIT: 35

10. Steve Smith, CAR: 35

The Giants' Steve Smith has caught 77.3 percent of the balls intended for him. That's good enough for fourth in the league, but it's even more impressive when you consider that he's been targeted a lot more than the players ranked ahead of him. It's also a testament to Eli Manning's accuracy.

The Beast also has three players ranked among the top five in terms of yards after catch (YAC):

1. DeSean Jackson, PHI: 12.83

2. Patrick Crayton, DAL: 9.45

3. Percy Harvin, MIN: 7.79

4. Devery Henderson, NO: 7.29

5. Roy Williams, DAL: 7.09

Obviously Jackson, Crayton and Williams have all had long touchdown receptions that have skewed these numbers, but it's still pretty impressive. Crayton's certainly never been known for his YAC numbers, but he's doing a much better job of staying on his feet after catches this season.
