Here's a story in the Daily News by Ed Barkowitz about the last time the Eagles played the Bucs. It was Oct. 22, 2006, and then-Bucs kicker Matt Bryant nailed a 62-yard field goal at the gun to win it. That was Jeremiah Trotter's final season with the Eagles -- or so we thought.
"I just remember my heart dropping out of my chest," said Trotter, who signed with the Eagles last week. "You play so hard and then you get beat by a last-second field goal like that. But you know what? That's sports for you. That's football for you. Those things happen."
Donovan McNabb has struggled mightily against the Bucs over the years, but something tells me he'll bounce back Sunday. This edition of the Bucs doesn't appear to have any last-minute miracles up its sleeve.
