How you feeling? Eagles-Bengals

As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to host the Cincinnati Bengals in a prime-time Thursday night game, here's one reason for Eagles fans to feel good about the game and one reason for concern.

Feeling good: Well, for the first time in a couple of months, the Eagles aren't on a horrible, soul-crushing, career-wrecking losing streak. Having actually come back and won Sunday in Tampa, the Eagles are reminded that they can win and what it feels like to do so. They're also the home team in a Thursday night game, which tends to help on a short week. So psychologically, at least, they take the field tonight with some advantages, even though they're facing a better and healthier team.

Cause for concern: This defense the Eagles face tonight is not the Buccaneers' defense. Geno Atkins and the Bengals' pass rush will be after rookie quarterback Nick Foles all night. And while they're likely to go back to Bryce Brown more than they did Sunday, the Eagles aren't likely to find much success running the ball against the Bengals' defense either. This is a big, physical defensive front that's keyed a second-half run and thrust the Bengals into playoff contention. For an Eagles offense that's missing eight starters, it's a pretty tough test.
