Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy spoke with 97.3 ESPN Radio in South Jersey. He talked about a number of things, from his upcoming charity softball tournament to the NBA Finals to post-practice smoothies to the differences between former Eagles coach Andy Reid and new Eagles coach Chip Kelly. Of course, he also talked about the topic on every Eagle's mind this offseason: The competition between Michael Vick and Nick Foles for the starting quarterback job.
"Nick Foles and Mike Vick, they both look very, very good," McCoy said. "So I don't really care who's the quarterback. I think both of them could start."
McCoy had complimentary things to say about Vick, who's been his teammate for the past four years and who he says looks like the front-runner based on experience. But he said, "Nick looks good too. He has a big arm, he's very accurate. I think if you put any QB in there out of those two, it's looking good. So I don't know. It's Coach Kelly's call."
You can listen to the full interview here, if you're looking for your LeSean McCoy fix here in mid-June. I don't think a McCoy fix is going to be a problem for anyone once the season starts. Whoever the quarterback is, I believe he's going to hand off a lot.
