SAN DIEGO -- Rookie running back Joseph Randle is active for the first time this season, but so is Phillip Tanner, which puts four runners on the 46-man roster.

Terrance Williams will replace Miles Austin, who did not make the trip and was ruled out on Friday because of a hamstring injury. The Cowboys will go with a committee of sorts to replace Austin with Williams, Dwayne Harris, Cole Beasley and tight end Gavin Escobar.

For the first time this season the Cowboys will go with seven offensive linemen with Phil Costa inactive for the first time and joining Darrion Weems and David Arkin on the sideline. Cornerback Chris Greenwood, tight end Andre Smith and defensive end Caesar Rayford are also inactive.

New defensive tackles David Carter and Drake Nevis are active, as is linebacker Ernie Sims, who missed two games with a groin injury.
