Back by "popular" demand, let's check in with our fearless panel of NFL experts to see who they're picking in Week 8. Then the Beast will make its predictions.
All eight panelists are picking the Cowboys to take care of business at home against the dreaded Seahawks. And it's hard to go against them. I guess this is the definition of a trap game for the Cowboys coming off the win over Atlanta and looking down the road to a matchup in Philly with the Eagles. The Cowboys may not blow the Seahawks off the field, but they'll get the win.
Beast pick: Cowboys 24, Seahawks 13
The panel likes the Giants this week. The Giants won out, 5-3, among the experts. I think folks have a hard time believing that a Tom Coughlin-led team could lose three consecutive games. Former Eagles defensive back Eric Allen, Mike Golic and Mark Schlereth picked the Eagles. Former Eagles great Ron Jaworski is going with the Giants. I'm sure that will go over big in South Philly. By the way, if I'm not able to score a ticket to the World Series on Sunday night, where's the best place in the city to watch the game? I'm a fan of Chickie & Pete's, but wanted to see if there were some alternatives.
Beast pick: Giants 31, Eagles 23
Mercifully, the Skins have the bye week. I expect to see one of their best performances of the season. To find out why I made these picks, please log on for the NFC East Final Word at 4 p.m. ET today. Thanks for your continued support of this blog.
