 Jackson
 Maclin

Now that Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson has emerged as one of the most dangerous players in the league, I believe the Cowboys will do everything they can do take him out of Sunday's game. I'm pretty sure cornerback Terence Newman will follow him around and the Cowboys will shade a safety over to Jackson's side in order to slow him down. And yes, I think it will work.

The problem is that it will leave rookie wide reciever Jeremy Maclin in one-on-one matchups with Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick. I watched what Maclin did to the Buccaneers when they sold out to stop Jackson -- and it wasn't pretty. Les Bowen of the Daily News has a story about Maclin on Philly.com. I've never thought of the guy as a blocker, but he escorted both Leonard Weaver and LeSean McCoy to the end zone on long touchdown runs.

Between Maclin and tight end Brent Celek, the Cowboys will have their hands full. But I do think they'll sell out to stop Jackson. I'm not sure any other strategy makes a lot of sense at this point.
