As the nation anxiously awaits this week's NFL power rankings, let's take a look at how the Beast voted. As most of you know, the Giants (5-1) and Redskins (5-2) won and the Cowboys (4-3) lost. The Eagles won their bye week convincingly. Here's how I ranked the Beast:

New York Giants -- No. 2 behind the Titans. Yes, I know it's weird to think of the Titans as an elite team, but they keep winning games. The Giants weren't impressive on offense, but the dominating defense was back.

Washington Redskins -- I have them at No. 5 following Sunday's 14-11 victory over the Browns. Running back Clinton Portis is making a mad dash toward a league MVP and the defense stifled Derek Anderson all day. The only reason the Browns scored a touchdown was because of a Redskins turnover.

Philadelphia Eagles -- The bye week couldn't have arrived at a better time. I have the Eagles 11th overall. Players such as Brian Westbrook, Kevin Curtis and Reggie Brown had time to heal. A healthy Westbrook could make all the difference. And the Eagles only trail the Cowboys by a half-game now.

Dallas Cowboys -- What a pitiful display that was in St. Louis. Even Wade Phillips couldn't find a silver lining in this one. I dropped the Cowboys to No. 15 in the power rankings. Pretty amazing for a team that spent the first three weeks of the season at No. 1. And I'm probably being generous with the No. 15 ranking. Haven't heard much from the writers who thought Tony Romo's injury might be a good thing for this team.
