OK, it's that time of the week where I make my predictions known to the general public. I've struggled on this Eagles-Chargers game, but I'm finally ready to make a commitment. But first, let's see what the ESPN experts predicted for the NFC East:

Merril Hoge and Adam Schefter went out on a limb and predicted the Redskins to beat the Broncos. Wish I knew what they were basing that pick on. I'm going with Broncos 28, Redskins 13. I just don't see any way that this offensive line can hold up against the Broncos. Levi Jones at left tackle? Really??

It's also obvious our fearless panel still is not sold on the Cowboys. Ron Jaworski, Chris Mortensen, Schefter and Seth Wickersham all picked the Packers to beat the Cowboys at Lambeau. Sorry, but I don't see it. The Beast is going with Cowboys 28, Packers 10. Have you seen this Packers offensive line in action. Chad Clifton can't get the job done at left tackle and the right tackle du jour will also struggle mightily.

Hoge, Jaws and Wickersham are all picking the Chargers to beat the Eagles. I don't know what to make of this game. The Eagles are hurting in the secondary and at linebacker. Philip Rivers could overwhelm the cornerbacks if he has enough time, but I don't think he will. I have Eagles 24, Chargers 21.

I don't see the Giants losing this weekend. They're likely to remain at 5-4. I'm off to San Diego. Let's talk in the morning.
