NFC West blogger Mike Sando has done a nice job of bringing some transparency to ESPN.com's weekly NFL power rankings. You can see how we all voted by clicking on this link.

In examining everyone's voting record, I've decided that Scouts Inc. veteran Matt Williamson is the most polarizing expert currently serving on the panel. He obviously knows something the rest of us don't, because he ranked the Bucs third overall after a 13-9 loss to the Cowboys. The Bucs finished ninth in the final rankings, and Bill Williamson helped neutralize Matt Williamson's head-scratching vote by putting them at No. 15.

Pat Yasinskas, Jeff Chadiha and Matt Williamson were the only panelists who voted the Giants No. 1. The rest of us went with the Titans, who throttled the Colts on "Monday Night Football."

It looks like seven of us had the Redskins at No. 4, but Matt Williamson had them at No. 7. Washington is listed at No. 5, behind the Steelers. I didn't have the Steelers that high because they've lost to both the Eagles and Giants. And the Redskins have beaten the Eagles.

The Eagles received huge support from Matt Williamson with a No. 5 vote, but they finished 10th in the overall voting. Yasinkas and the indomitable Kevin Seifert gave the Cowboys a huge boost by ranking them No. 6 and 7 respectively. The Cowboys checked in at No. 8 overall, which is about three spots too high.

But it's fun that we're publishing the results. I'm a huge fan of the constructive criticism that always follows.
