EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Tom Coughlin took mercy on the Cowboys at the end of the first half, choosing to settle for a 21-7 lead. And folks, the Brooks Bollinger era has begun. Oops. Interception. Giants score to make it 28-7.

I now have Brad Johnson's first half numbers. He was 5 of 11 for 71 yards and two interceptions. That comes out to a 27.3 passer rating. Now, Bollinger has come on to throw an interception and take a sack. At this point, the Giants can name their final score.

Keep your eye on Giants defensive tackle Barry Cofield in the second half. He's destroying the middle of the Cowboys offensive line, allowing defensive end Justin Tuck to use his quick inside step to abuse Johnson and Bollinger.

Some other numbers from the first half: The Giants had five players finish the half with at least two catches. Eli Manning was 13 of 22 for 126 yards, three touchdowns and one interception for a touchdown. I'd blame Mike Jenkins' touchdown return on a busted route by Plaxico Burress. Speaking of Burress, he had two catches for 24 yards in the first half.
