McNabb flourishes outside the numbers

Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb was 21-of-36 for 306 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. But most of his success came on outside throws. Check out these numbers provided by John Fisher of ESPN Stats & Information:
For whatever reason, McNabb was shaky on short crossing routes early in the game and made two poor decisions on the interceptions. Overall, though, he connected on some huge gains. It is almost like we expect at least a 50-yard catch from DeSean Jackson in every game, and he normally delivers.
