Lost in all the Plaxico Burress coverage is the fact that the New York Giants host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The Giants could clinch the NFC East with a win and the Eagles (6-5-1) are in must-win mode.

The Giants have won seven consecutive games, including the last six against teams with winning records. According to sources close to ESPN Stats & Analysis, only three other teams in NFL history have posted a streak of six or more wins against winning teams: the 1970 Vikings (7), 2007 Colts (6), and 1972 Redskins (6). Including last season's playoffs, the Giants have won five straight games against NFC East opponents.

The Eagles are 0-3 against NFC East opponents this season and have allowed a combined 100 points in those games. Take out their record against the NFC West (4-0) and the Eagles are 2-5-1 against the rest of the league.
