Another huge interception for Asante Samuel in the postseason. I think that may be the seventh of his career, although I'll double-check that for you. He's returned four of those for touchdowns -- and he came close to No. 5.
It looked like Samuel was sitting back in zone coverage on the play and he took advantage of a really poor throw from Eli Manning. That was a back-foot special on the slant to Domenik Hixon.
If the Giants lose this game, everyone will talk about Plaxico Burress' absence, but that was just a bad throw at an awful time. I think it was Gary Myers who said the other day that Eli Manning looks like he's throwing paper airplanes when he has to play in strong winds. That's certainly what it looks like right now.
So far, you have to like the Eagles' chances. And I'm not just talking about the 7-3 lead. The opening kickoff gave the Giants an enormous burst of energy. But by holding them to a field goal, the Eagles took some of the edge off the intensity. And the Samuel pick was huge.
