It's been a pretty solid decade for Eagles

With all the focus on Andy Reid's and Donovan McNabb's futures earlier this season, it's easy to forget that the Eagles have been one of the best teams of the decade. Greg Garber, who's taking a break from tennis coverage, dropped by the NovaCare complex to write a column about the Eagles' quest for an elusive world title.

"After winning six of their past seven games (including the playoffs), the Eagles' culture has changed dramatically -- from oppressive to impressive. Now that owner Jeffrey Lurie is saying the franchise will do its best to keep the team of McNabb and Reid intact, it's time to celebrate these Eagles for their consistency."

Honestly, that celebration ended midway through the 2005 season, but we won't go into that. Is this one of those once-in-a-lifetime playoff runs or have the Eagles reasserted themselves as one of the best franchises in the league?

Only time will tell. Now I need to finish up a column. Talk amongst yourselves until my triumphant return.
