Former Falcons linebacker Michael Boley has signed a five-year, $25 million contract with the New York Giants, according to several reports. Boley's agent Doug Hendrickson told the Star-Ledger's Mike Garafolo, "Once [Boley] knew he was leaving Atlanta, he knew the Giants were the team he wanted to play for Hendrickson said. He loved them as a kid and watched L.T. and [Carl] Banks and all those guys, so that's where he wanted to be."
Defensive tackle Rocky Bernard and defensive end Chris Canty are also on the Giants' radar. These are the type deals general manager Jerry Reese is comfortable making. I know the Giants were in the running for Albert Haynesworth, but something tells me they bowed out well before it got anywhere close to $41 million guaranteed.
