The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Monday that Eagles unrestricted free-agent left tackle Tra Thomas had visited the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Eagles have never been shy about letting veterans walk (see Brian Dawkins), but they don't have a lot of depth along the offensive line. Thomas will probably give the Eagles a shot to match any offers.
Head coach Andy Reid likes to reserve the right to move his linemen around, but I don't think playing the Andrews brothers at both tackle spots is a good idea. And it's always a dicey proposition to think you have to draft a starter at left tackle. I think the Eagles should've already locked up Thomas for another season, but it's not their style to rush something on a 35-year-old player.
