Tony Romo: Cowboys still stuck in 'hole'
By Dan Graziano
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo told reporters Thursday the team will spend the rest of the season trying to dig its way out of that 0-2 start. Here's what Romo said per ESPNDallas.com's Calvin Watkins:
"You're going to be fighting an 0-2 all season," Romo said. "It's not always just about one other team or a couple of teams, it's about us getting better throughout the whole year while winning. That’s part of it. We put ourselves in a hole."
I think it's important for the Cowboys to remember how desperate they felt after losing those first two games, because 1-3 would feel even worse. Romo knows how fortunate the Cowboys were that everyone else in the division has stumbled out of the gates too, so he wants to constantly try to create a sense of urgency.
The Tennessee Titans have been awful on offense lately, but any team that has Chris Johnson is still dangerous. The New York Giants found out what can happen when you help out the Titans with dumb penalties and turnovers in the red zone.
In other news, Romo said he was rooting for the Texas Rangers and hopes to attend a game on "their way to winning a World Series."
