Giants hoping for rematch with Eagles
By Dan Graziano
With the New Orleans Saints beating the Atlanta Falcons on Monday, the Giants are down to one scenario that could land them in the playoffs. They need to beat the Redskins and have the Chicago Bears take down the Green Bay Packers (or tie them) at Lambeau Field.
In that scenario, the Bears would earn the NFC's No. 2 seed and the Eagles would host a playoff game as the No. 3 seed. And guess who would be making the trip to Lincoln Financial Field? Yep, that would be the Giants. They say it's tough to beat a team three times in a season, but something tells me Michael Vick would find a way to get it done.
I actually think the Packers will beat the Bears, and that will clear the path for the Eagles to secure a No. 2 seed and have a playoff bye. This is about as wide-open as I can recall the NFC being over the years. I think everyone but the No. 4 seed has a shot to do some damage.
