Beastlines: Cowboys ranked top franchise

Bob Sturm of the Dallas Morning News has his annual NFL franchise rankings based on teams' accomplishments from Super Bowl I to the present, and the Cowboys ended up in a familiar spot.
ESPNDallas.com's Tim MacMahon compares the Cowboys' roster to the Packers' and concludes the Super Bowl champs have the edge just about everywhere. The DMN's David Moore came to a similar conclusion.
The Cowboys are poised to hire former Carolina Panthers assistant Brian Baker as their defensive line coach.
