Fired-up Friday: Whose WRs are best?
By Dan Graziano
So last Friday, as a result of a seemingly harmless Twitter inquiry I got from @GMEN10, we debated which quarterback was better -- Tony Romo or Eli Manning. This debate generated, at last check, 1,190 comments on that particular post, which is a pretty big number I think. Enough to make Kuharsky jealous, at least.
So Eric (that's what I call @GMEN10, mainly because I think that's his name) justifiably wondered if we were going to do something like that again this Friday and I think it's a swell idea. This week's topic is wide receivers. Specifically, I want to know which NFC East team you think has the best overall corps of wide receivers.
Do you like the variety of skills and talents offered by the Big Blue trio of Hakeem Nicks, Steve Smith and Mario Manningham?
How about the raw speed and athleticism of the Eagles' DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant?
Or are you buying into the electric talent of Dez Bryant, along with the past accomplishments of Miles Austin and Roy Williams, to elevate the Cowboys' group to the top of the list?
The Redskins ... also have receivers. Heck, I even threw free agent Santana Moss on their list to give them some legitimacy in this competition. But realistically, I think this is a pretty good, interesting three-way competition between the division's other three teams.
I have my own thoughts on the topic, but in a blatant attempt to squeeze in an extra post today I'm going to wait until later to post my own rankings. Meantime, I can't WAIT to hear what you guys have to say on this. Just one request, and by now I'm sure you know what it is.
