Eagles defensive end Trent Cole was fined $5,000 for a facemask penalty in the first half of Sunday's victory over the Steelers, according to the Philly Inquirer. I watched the play, and didn't think it was especially dangerous.
It's obvious the league is being more vigilant than ever with hits to the head, though. But as Bob Brookover points out, Steelers defensive end Orpheus Roye was not fined for his helmet to helmet hit on Eagles running back Tony Hunt.
In other news, I'd be shocked if Brian Westbrook played in Chicago on Sunday. If you haven't picked up Correll Buckhalter yet on your fantasy roster, now's a good time. Someone beat me to the punch.
