What to watch for: Eagles minicamp

By Dan Graziano

The first practice of the Philadelphia Eagles' three-day mandatory minicamp gets underway in about an hour, and Sheil Kapadia had this post this morning on what to watch for, including the offensive line rotation, the return to the field of cornerback Cary Williams, and the extent to which coach Chip Kelly has slowed down the pace of practice since the first OTA workouts.

I am interested to see how Jason Peters moves around at left tackle after missing last season because of two surgeries to repair the same Achilles tendon. I'm also interested to watch the wide receivers -- not just DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, but also the large cast of characters behind them on the depth chart -- what types of routes they're running and whether they can possibly look in sync with one or more of the quarterbacks or the offense as a whole at this point.

Obviously, it's still early June and not a point at which we can be making big, sweeping conclusions about what Kelly plans to do or his players' ability to handle it. But any clue will do, and the chance after practice to speak to the players about what we see will help as well. I promise I shall keep you posted best I can.
