Morris Claiborne leaves game with injury

By Calvin Watkins

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne left Sunday's game with the New York Giants with a left shoulder injury.

Claiborne was making a tackle on tight end Brandon Myers near the Cowboys' sideline when his left shoulder slammed into Myers' left leg. Claiborne was face first on the field until getting helped off the field by team trainers.

Claiborne's return was unknown as the game entered the fourth quarter. He was replaced by B.W. Webb.

The Cowboys got a scare near the end of the first half when quarterback Tony Romo was slammed to the turf after throwing an incomplete pass with 38 seconds to play. Romo walked slowly off the field and was replaced by Kyle Orton for one play.

Romo didn't finish the first half, but returned to start the second half. Team officials said Romo got the wind knocked out of him but as he warmed up to start the half, he was limited in how he moved around.
