DeMarcus Ware is limited in practice
By Calvin Watkins
IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys starting defensive end DeMarcus Ware was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday because of a neck stinger. Ware suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter of Dallas' loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Ware didn't return to the game and said afterward he had some shoulder issues. Ware has undergone stinger issues in the past. When he gets the numbness in his neck/shoulder area, Ware quickly leaves the field and waits for the numbness to wear off before returning.
Also, backup linebacker Ernie Sims (groin), defensive end Anthony Spencer (knee) and wide receiver Dez Bryant (back) didn't practice.
Sims suited up for practice Wednesday and did some rehab work on the side. Spencer and Bryant did light running but were not suited up. Spencer said he expects to practice Thursday but Bryant's status is unclear, though he expects to play Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.
Quarterback Tony Romo (ribs) is also listed on the report but was a full participant.
