Two Dallas defensive starters don't practice
By Calvin Watkins
IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys could be without two defensive starters for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos due to injuries.
Linebacker Justin Durant (groin) and defensive end George Selvie (concussion) did not practice Thursday. Durant said he hopes to practice Friday, while Selvie's status is uncertain, though he did do some light running during practice.
There was a change in backup wide receiver Dwayne Harris' status. He was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, but on Thursday was limited with a hip injury. Backup defensive end Edgar Jones didn't practice Thursday after getting limited work in Wednesday's session because of a groin injury.
If Selvie can't play, Kyle Wilber is expected to take over the starting role, with Jones getting backup snaps. If that fails to happen, expect Caesar Rayford to receive some playing time in a reserve role.
Also, wide receiver Miles Austin (hamstring) didn't practice, though team officials believe he's improving. Linebacker Bruce Carter (foot), cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder) and defensive end DeMarcus Ware (back) were full participants in practice.
