Jackson injured for Eagles
By Dan Graziano
SAN DIEGO -- Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was injured on the last possession of the first quarter but he'll return, according to the team. Maybe that explains why the Eagles were attempting to go to Reggie Brown for the third time today. It worked once on third-and-long, so I guess they'll keep dialing him up.
The Eagles just came on a blitz with 12 minutes to go in the first half -- and Philip Rivers made them pay with a 22-yard completion to Malcolm Floyd. Looks like Sheldon Brown fell down on the play -- or he was pushed.
LaDainian Tomlinson scores on a short touchdown run and the Chargers are up, 14-0. The Eagles have rushed the ball four times for 2 yards. Eagles coach Andy Reid will abandon the run at any minute -- like now. This one's about to get out of hand if the Eagles don't get a scoring drive soon.
I guess the Eagles thought the Chargers would recoil in fear at the sight of Brown.
