Eagles struggling on West Coast, Westbrook out
By Dan Graziano
SAN DIEGO -- In two trips to the West Coast, the Eagles have managed six field goals. They've moved the ball against the Chargers but it's like they don't have any plays to run once they get close to the goal line. I think this team became so reliant on the deep ball early in the season that it doesn't know which way to turn when it's not there.
And just so you know, Brian Westbrook hasn't been a big part of this second half, mainly because he doesn't have his helmet. The Eagles haven't announced an injury or anything but it doesn't look like Westbrook is coming back. Eagles wide receiver Jason Avant just made an unbelievable one-handed catch to keep this current Eagles drive alive. Hey, they could make it 28-17 with a score and two-point conversion. Stay tuned.
