OK, that's a wrap on vacation. Thanks to a talented team of blog editors and the versatile Scouts Inc. writer, Matt Williamson, the NFC East blog never went dark. Now, let's lay out the preliminary plan for covering training camp:

I'll be in San Antonio on Friday for the Jerry Jones-Wade Phillips opening news conference, followed by the Cowboys' first practice Saturday. The following weekend, I'll depart for my annual East Coast tour, which will begin in Albany, N.Y., on Aug. 1 and conclude in Ashburn, Va., on Aug. 7.

We'll then head out to Oxnard, Calif., to catch up with the Cowboys on Aug. 14. I believe this will be the most comprehensive NFC East training camp coverage that exists on the Internet. Hope you'll join me for the ride.

Make your plans for Eagles training camp

If you've never been to Lehigh (Pa.) University in the summer, now's the time to make your plans. The Eagles announced Tuesday that training camp will begin July 26 in Lehigh. And if you don't live anywhere close, I'd recommend flying into Bethlehem instead of Philly. It's about 10 minutes away from the facility.

The Eagles will break camp Aug. 12 before playing their first exhibition game the next evening. A lot of teams head back to their training camps following that first preseason game, but the Eagles will return to the NovaCare complex. Of the camps I've attended (San Antonio; Oxnard, Calif.; Albany, N.Y.; Ashburn, Va.; Houston), the Eagles' is by far the most charming. Once you drive up that mountain, you feel like you've gone back in time.
