GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Minnesota couldn't have asked for a much better start on the road than they've gotten here at University of Phoenix Stadium.
Bernard Berrian has returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown and hauled in a beautifully-thrown 41-yard pass from Tarvaris Jackson for another score, and the Vikings lead 14-0 midway through the first quarter.
I've hammered Jackson pretty well this season for his inability to throw long, but he's already thrown two of the best deep passes of his career here. (Arizona cornerback Roderick Hood broke up an earlier pass to Berrian.)
If the Vikings can get a handful of throws like that in every game from Jackson, they won't have to worry about who their long-term starter will be.
