Tuesday's SportsNation chat reminded us that it's never too early to think about next offseason. As we enter the final days of spring practices around the NFC North, we broached next year's potential free-agent class. Here was the exchange:
Kevin, both [Ben] Leber and [Chad] Greenway are in their last contract year -- any inside info on if the Vikes are trying to sign them both? Should I be worried?

I don't think many NFL teams are looking to do a lot of extensions right now. With the CBA talks looming on the horizon, I'm guessing they're going to want to know whether a salary cap will return and what other rule changes could occur. With that said, I don't have any firsthand knowledge of significant talks with either guy.
Greenway and Leber are far from the only NFC North players who could enter the 2010 season in the final year of their contracts. I'm sure I've left out a few, but everyone below is approaching the expiration of his contract:
