LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- All was quiet on the Brett Favre front at Tampa Bay's practice, but this might be the calm before the storm.

Almost two weeks ago, I said the Bucs are the team that makes the most sense for Favre and that feeling has only gotten stronger. Observing the crowds at Disney's Wide World of Sports only reinforces my theory that ownership and business logic could play a significant role in Favre landing in Tampa Bay.

The Bucs are drawing people to practice, but it's not like fans are standing in line and filling up the complex. Longtime observers said attendance is down. Fan turnout at training camp doesn't mean a lot by itself, but it does in the bigger picture.

The Glazer family, which owns the team, is full of smart business people. The Bucs have solid fans, but they're a little subdued right now. The Glazers might be looking for some sizzle. They have to realize that adding Favre would sell out Raymond James Stadium each week, get the Bucs moved into prime time when the flex schedule rolls around and sell an awful lot of No. 4  jerseys.
