A few evening notes for you on the second hump day of April:
- Former Chicago quarterback Rex Grossman has hired Drew Rosenhaus as his new agent, according to multiple media outlets, including ESPN. Grossman hasn't generated much interest on the free-agent market, but it's a near-certainty that he'll go to training camp with someone. He might consider waiting for a few weeks in order to avoid signing with a team that drafts a notable quarterback.
- Minnesota linebacker Ben Leber had an honest and interesting response Wednesday when Minnesota reporters asked him about the Bears' acquisition of quarterback Jay Cutler. Leber: "He's definitely more of a mobile guy. He's brimming with confidence. We'll have to go in there and try and rattle him. I've seen some games where he can get rattled. We're going to try to take that same approach. Get him rattled and try and contain him because he can do some stuff with his feet. ... He's a good quarterback. I don't know if I would have given up all those picks for him. But it's a good thing I'm not a GM."
- Detroit agreed to terms with free-agent offensive lineman Matt Lentz, according to David Birkett of the Oakland Press. Lentz was on Tampa Bay's practice squad last season.
