A long day of injury-related posts ends in Detroit, where Lions receiver Calvin Johnson was limited in practice Wednesday because of a shoulder injury.
According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Johnson didn't try to catch any passes during the portion of practice open to reporters. Asked about the injury, Johnson told reporters: "The range of motion just isn't all there yet. It's getting better. ... Hopefully it just keeps on progressing like it is."
At this point, it's hard to know if Johnson will play Sunday at the New York Giants. It goes without saying how important he is to the Lions offense, but let's give this one a few more days to play out before we hit the panic button.
