MINNEAPOLIS -- Greetings from the Metrodome, where I'm spending the early afternoon watching NFC North games before the Panic Bowl starts.

Just making sure you saw Ed Werder's report Sunday morning. Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre received a cortisone shot immediately after Monday night's game at the New York Jets, another sign that his elbow tendinitis is a real and significant injury.

Check back throughout the day for updates on the Dallas Cowboys-Vikings game, as well as some quick thoughts on the three early games.
