A pair of interesting personnel situations in the NFC North:

  • In Detroit, nose tackle Grady Jackson was activated from the non-football injury list after missing three days with an undisclosed illness. Tuesday will be the first day Jackson practices with the team since signing in the offseason. He sat out the offseason program while recovering from surgery.
  • In Minnesota, third-year receiver Aundrae Allison is on the way out. Agent Drew Rosenhaus said on his Twitter feed that the Vikings will waive Allison Tuesday if they can't trade him first, an announcement that pretty much ensures he will be waived. Allison, whose 104-yard kickoff return in 2007 remains the longest play in team history, had fallen behind at least six receivers on the depth chart. You wonder whether the Lions will take advantage of their spot in the waiver system (they have top priority on every player) to claim Allison and take a look while Bryant Johnson recovers from injuries suffered in a golf cart accident.
