Thanks to NFC South colleague Pat Yasinskas for passing along an early look at the NFL Players Associations' biennial survey of NFL stadiums.
As you'll see in the chart below, Lambeau Field finished No. 5 among grass fields. Soldier Field, the subject of much angst during the 2010 playoffs, ranked No. 17 of 18.
Meanwhile, Ford Field ranked No. 8 and the Metrodome ranked No. 12 of 13 artificial turf surfaces.
There should be no surprises with any of these rankings.
*Update: The official NFLPA release included two separate categories: One when players were asked to rank the "best" fields and another when asked for the "worst." The "best" responses are listed below. When asked to name the "worst," however, more players named the Metrodome for artificial turf and Soldier Field for grass than any other stadiums in the respective categories.
