As a Chicago Bulls season-ticket holder, Bears coach Lovie Smith is watching the NBA playoffs with heightened interest. Asked by ESPN's George Smith this week which Chicago team will win the city's next title, he said: "The Bulls have the first crack at it. I hope they start it off, and we'll finish it off."

In the interview, Smith addresses recent passing drills organized by Bears offensive players and said he supported linebacker Brian Urlacher's contention that the Bears are the best team in the NFC.

"Of course I agree with him," Smith said. "I'd be disappointed if any of our players didn't feel like we're the best around. But reality says the Packers are there right now. They have the Super Bowl ring right now. They're the champion right now and it's left to us to do something about it."
