Getting inside the Friday injury report, which includes the possibility of sidelined starters for the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers:

Chicago Bears: Safety Chris Harris (hamstring) and running back Marion Barber (calf) are listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. It seems likely that newcomer Brandon Meriweather will start in Harris' spot and that Kahlil Bell will serve as tailback Matt Forte's backup once again. Right guard Lance Louis (ankle) is also doubtful and expected to be replaced by Chris Spencer. Meanwhile, receiver Roy Williams (groin) returned to practice Friday in a limited role and is questionable. Johnny Knox would start for Williams if he can't play Sunday.

Detroit Lions: Receiver Calvin Johnson (ankle) and safety Louis Delmas (hip) returned to practice in a limited fashion Friday and are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. So is receiver Maurice Stovall (hand). Johnson indicated earlier this week that he would play. Delmas' status remains less certain. Cornerback Alphonso Smith (foot) has been ruled out for a second consecutive week.

Green Bay Packers: Cornerback Tramon Williams (shoulder) missed his third consecutive day of practice but is officially listed as questionable. That technically means he has a 50-50 chance of playing Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, but you wonder if the Packers would risk a setback for their Pro Bowl cornerback in Week 2 of a long season. The only other notable development is that rookie running back Alex Green (Achilles) was added to the injury report and listed as questionable.

Minnesota Vikings: Middle linebacker E.J. Henderson (knee) was listed as questionable after missing his second consecutive day of practice. Henderson told reporters that he had fluid drained from his left knee Thursday, a side effect of his 2009 fractured leg. If it's up to Henderson, he'll play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coach Leslie Frazier said he will make a decision Sunday morning.
